A long time ago I lived in New Mexico and had a fabulous cook for a griend! She was from Mexico and thrilled me with all her fabulous Mexican recipes! Here is her Strawberry Margarita recipe!!! Great on a hot day or tropical feeling nights! THANKS ELSPY!!!!

Ingredients For strawberry margarita

  • 3/4 c
    tequila
  • 3/4 c
    fresh or frozen strawberries (if fresh, remove stems)
  • 1/3 c
    triple sec
  • 1/4 c
    fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 c
    mint syrup recipe follows
  • 1/4 c
    loosely packed mint leaves
  • mint leaves to garnish
  • MINT SYRUP
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1/2 tsp
    mint extract

How To Make strawberry margarita

  • 1
    Combine ingredients and enough ice to fill blender in blender. Pulse until ice is crushed and all ingredients are well blended.

    Divide among four glasses and garnish with mint and a whole strawberry if desired.

    MINT SYRUP: Add watyer and sugar to small saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minuters. Cool and add mint extract. Stir.
