Ingredients For spiked tea

  • 14 cups water, divided
  • 1 cup sugar
  • three family size tea bags
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 4 cups cold lemon lime flavored soda
  • 2 cups sweet tea flavored vodka
  • orange slices, fresh mint,

How To Make spiked tea

    in a large pot, bring 6 cups water to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat, and add sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Add tea bags, and allow tea to steep for 30 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags.

    Add remaining 8 cups water to tea, stirring well. Add lemon juice and orange juice, stirring well. Let tea mixture come to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for four hours or until cold. Immediately before serving, add cold lemon lime soda and vodka, stirring well. Serve over ice. Mix with orange slices and mint, if desired. Makes about 12 servings
