This bloody mary has lots of added flavor and texture. So be prepared for a different take on bloody marys! This yummy drink comes from Ina Garten. Cheers! Note: the prep time given does not include the chilling time.

Ingredients For spicy bloody marys

  • 3 lg
    celery stalks, plus additional stalks for serving
  • 3 tsp
    prepared horseradish
  • 2 tsp
    grated yellow onion
  • 1/2 c
    freshly squeezed lemon juice (3 lemons)
  • 1 tsp
    worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    tabasco, or to taste
  • 46 oz
    sacramento tomato juice
  • 2 c
    vodka

How To Make spicy bloody marys

    Cut the celery in large dices, including the leaves, and puree it in the bowl of a food processor. Add the horseradish, onion, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, kosher salt, and Tabasco and puree again.

    Pour the tomato juice into a 2 1/2 quart container, stir in the celery and seasonings mixture, then add the vodka and chill. Put a few ice cubes into each glass, pour in the bloody mary mixture, and garnish with a celery stick.
