Ingredients

	2 ounces gold rum
	1 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice
	1 1/2 ounces unsweetened pineapple juice
	1 ounce dark rum
	1 tablespoon curaçao or other orange liqueur
	1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
	1 teaspoon grenadine
	1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
	2 to 3 dashes angostura bitters
	a slice of orange and maraschino cherry on a cocktail pick, as garnish

it's easy to get into the Caribbean state of mind with one of these tall coolers in your system. Imagine a wide veranda, a field of sugar cane stirring in the trade winds, with the blue seas in the distance. these are the images rum stirs up.

Directions

in a tall glass, mix all the ingredients except the fruit garnish. Stir to blend, then fill the glass with ice cubes. Add the garnish and serve at once
