peach paradise cocktail

This was my entry for a cooking contest hosted by another site, from several years ago. The cocktail has a delicious peach base and just the right hint of ginger and a touch of evaporated milk to give it a nice creamy finish. For step #1, I used half of a 15-oz can, and it worked out well.

Ingredients For peach paradise cocktail

  • 7-ounce can
    sliced peaches, drained (reserve 1 peach slice for garnish)
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp
    ground ginger
  • ice cubes
  • 1 tsp
    evaporated milk
  • 3 oz
    rum
  • 3 oz
    pineapple juice
  • 3 oz
    orange juice
  • 1 tsp
    grenadine
  • 2
    maraschino cherries, for garnish

How To Make peach paradise cocktail

    Placed drained peaches and ginger in food process (or blender), and pulse until smooth and well blended.

    Add ice, pureed peach mixture, evaporated milk, rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and grenadine in a cocktail shaker. Shake well, and pour into a tall glass.

    Garnish with a peach slice and cherries on an umbrella skewer, and serve immediately with a straw.
