Fresh Strawberry Daquiris

- 1 lb
- fresh strawberries, stem end cut off, then halved
- 1/2 c
- water, just enough to puree the berries
- 1/2 tsp
- vanilla extract
- 1 c
- white rum, more or less to taste
1Puree strawberries and sugar with just enough water for the blender to do its magic.
2Once berries are blendered, add the ice and pulse until ice is all crushed.
3Turn blender to 'icy drinks' setting and let run while adding rum.
