Ingredients

1 c miniatures marshmallows
1 pkg (3.4oz) jello pistachio favor instant sugar free pudding
1 can(s) (20 oz) crushed pinapple in juice,undrained
1/2 c chopped pecans
1 1/2 c thawed cool whip sugar free topping
Pinched by beaniewds, and 100 more.
Lightly Salted

this is the full flavor recipe I also have a sugar free,low fat,recipe posted.Both are delicacies. These two watergate salad are from Jello.

 

Directions

1
mix dry pudding and pinapple together then fold in marshallows and nuts in large bowl.

stir in thawed Cool Whip .Refrigerate 1 hour

I thought the same Cheryl. This looks like the original recipe, but the title says diabetic friendly?? Can you please indicate how this is diabetic friendly, or include the items to make it diabetic friendly? Thanks!

Sorry when writing this out I for got the most important part use SUGAR FREE PUDDING & COOL WHIP that is the key SO very sorry for the mistake.

I made this recipe about 30 years ago. Everyone LOVED it, then, for some reason, I can no longer find sugar free or even regular pistachio pudding. I have gone into almost every store where I live and where I worked. No one carries it. The recipe came to me from one of my PTA parents and it was called Waldorf Salad .i tried it with Vanilla pudding but it was not the same. SIGH?!

Maybe pistachio is not a popular flavor in your area I would look for a phone number or web site on any flavor pudding box to find where you can get it maybe online purchase

Irene, We get both regular and sugar free pistachio pudding at Walmart all of the time. Ask them to order it for you. You may be able to go to the Walmart website and order it yourself. You can get items delivered to your local store and pick them up. No shipping charge.
