sweetheart chocolate mousse

Another older recipe found in a recipe box. I've made mousse many different ways, but this recipe really delivers! The chocolate is rich, and it's easy to make. Photo is from the Hershey's recipe card.

Ingredients For sweetheart chocolate mousse

  • 1
    envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 2 Tbsp
    cold water
  • 1/4 c
    boiling water
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    hershey's cocoa
  • 2 c
    (1 pint) cold whipping cream
  • 2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • fresh raspberries or sliced strawberries

How To Make sweetheart chocolate mousse

  • 1
    Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in small bowl; let stand 2 minutes to soften. Add boiling water; stir until gelatin is completely dissolved and mixture is clear. Cool slightly.

    Mix sugar and cocoa in a large bowl; add whipping cream and vanilla. Beat on medium speed, scraping bottom of bowl occasionally, until mixture is stiff. Pour in gelatin mixture; beat until well blended.

    Spoon into dessert dishes. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with raspberries or strawberries.
