Super Easy Rice Pudding

I'm not real familiar with rice pudding but had some left over jasime rice after dinner one night and wanted to try it. This was delicious hot and cold as well.

I used nutmeg, cinnamon, and orange peel in mine while cooking. The nutmeg could also have been sprinkled on top to nice effect. The orange of course can be left out.

Ingredients

2 c
cooked jasime rice
2 c
heavy whipping cream
1 c
1 percent milk
1 pinch
salt
1/2 c
sugar

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS

nutmeg
cinnamon
orange peel
vanilla

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine first five ingredients in a heavy saucepan and bring to a simmer. Add flavorings if desired. (Add them to taste...and of course tasting it is the fun part!)

Continue simmering while stirring pretty frequently until desired consistency.

Remove from heat and serve warm. Alternately put the pudding in a pretty bowl and press plastic wrap over the top and refrigerate till cold.
