I had a fierce craving for something sweet and spicy, no time to make cookies. I could however, throw this in a pan and bake it while working.
It turned out custardy on the bottom, and with chunks of 'cinnamon toast' on top

Ingredients

3/4 large
loaf sandwich bread
3 Tbsp
cinnamon
1 Tbsp
ground ginger
1/2 stick
unsalted butter, cold
1 c
sugar
1 tsp
vanilla extract
3 large
eggs
2 c
heavy cream

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350*. Spray loaf pan with non stick spray.
2Cube the sandwich bread and place in large bowl.
Add in cinammon, ginger and sugar. Cut butter into little chunks, add to bowl, and toss to cover with sugar and spices, place in loaf pan.
3Whisk eggs, vanilla and cream together and pour over bread. If necessary, use a spoon to push the bread into the eggs.
4Bake for an hour to an hour and a half.
