| 16 oz | loaf day-old french bread, cubed |
| 2 (12oz) can(s) | evaporated milk |
| 1 c | water |
| 6 large | eggs |
| 1 (8oz) can(s) | crushed pineapple, drained |
| 1 large | red delicious apple, grated |
| 1 c | raisins |
| 1 1/2 c | sugar |
| 5 tsp | vanilla |
| 1/4 c | butter, cut up and softened |
| bourbon sauce | |
| 3 Tbsp | butter |
| 1 Tbsp | all-purpose flour |
| 1/2 c | sugar |
| 1 c | whipping cream |
| 2 Tbsp | bourbon |
| 1 Tbsp | vanilla |
| 1 tsp | nutmeg |

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine first 3 ingredients; stir in eggs, blending well. Stir in pineapple and next 4 ingredients. Stir in butter, blending well. Pour mixture into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Bake 35-45 minutes or until set. Serve with Bourbon Sauce.BOURBON SAUCE:
Melt butter in a small saucepan; whisk in flour and cook 5 minutes. Stir in sugar and whipping cream; cook 3 minutes. Stir in bourbon, vanilla and nutmeg and simmer 5 minutes.
