Old-Fashion Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce
|16 oz||loaf day-old french bread, cubed|
|2 (12oz) can(s)||evaporated milk|
|1 (8oz) can(s)||crushed pineapple, drained|
|1 large||red delicious apple, grated|
|1 1/2 c||sugar|
|1/4 c||butter, cut up and softened|
|1 Tbsp||all-purpose flour|
|1 c||whipping cream|

DirectionsPreheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine first 3 ingredients; stir in eggs, blending well. Stir in pineapple and next 4 ingredients. Stir in butter, blending well. Pour mixture into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Bake 35-45 minutes or until set. Serve with Bourbon Sauce.BOURBON SAUCE:
Melt butter in a small saucepan; whisk in flour and cook 5 minutes. Stir in sugar and whipping cream; cook 3 minutes. Stir in bourbon, vanilla and nutmeg and simmer 5 minutes.
