The Golden Nugget in Laughlin, Nevada makes a wonderful bread pudding. It's rich, creamy and oh, so decadent. This recipe makes a boatload.My mom somehow managed to get her hands on their recipe.
15 whole eggs
40 oz. half and half (1 quart plus 1 cup)
12 oz. heavy cream (1 1/2 cups)
1 lb. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
bread and raisins
1Mix eggs, sugar, vanilla, half and half. Mix heavy cream.
2. Break bread or leave whole thick Texas style. Sprinkle with raisins and cinnamon sugar.
3Place in double boiler, water bath:Outside pan, 12 x 16, inside pan, 10 x 15.
4Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325. covered with foil. I guess you can make 1/2 this recipe. Sure is rich, but oh, so delicious. Enjoy,
Serves a boatload. Mom got this recipe when she visited the Golden Nugget in Laughlin, Nevada, many years ago. It's very rich, and makes a lot! I don't know if you can divide this recipe, as it has 15 eggs in it.
