I love rice pudding. They are so good and tasty. You will love it.

Ingredients

1/2 c
long grain white rice
2 c
milk
1 c
light cream
1 tsp
vanilla flavoring
1 tsp
orange zest
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
2 Tbsp
butter
1/4 c
sugar

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large pot of boiling water, cook rice for 5 minutes and drain. Rinse under running water and set aside to drain. In a saucepan, combine milk, cream, vanilla, zest and cinnamon. Bring mixture to a boil and stir. Turn off heat and stir in butter and sugar. Let mixture cool for 15 minutes. Add the rice to the milk mixture and pour into baking dish. Cover with foil and bake about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Stir mixture after 45 minutes. Serve warm.

    My family loves rice pudding. They are so delicious and tasty. I baked them in the oven.

    What do you do with the butter?

    Put sugar and butter in a mixing bowl and pour the hot mixture in butter and sugar and stir well. Let it cool for 15 minutes. I hope you understand. If you don't understand and I will explain to you again okay.

    Sorry I must have not read it right the first time...this sounds like it may be very similar to what my Great Grandmother used to make only without the orange zest so I really want to try it. Thanks for sharing. :o)
