1 c sugar
1/4 c corn starch
2 c half n half
1/2 c margarine, cut in pieces
1 tsp vanilla
nutmeg, for sprinkling
1 baked pie shell

Oh so easy and oh so deliciously wonderful.
This pie is most requested for all occasions by family, friends and neighbors. There is something about its southern down-home goodness that appeals to almost everyone, even the kids.

Combine sugar and corn starch in a heavy sauce pan. Add milk to dry mixture and then add margarine (cut into chunks).

Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and starts to bubble. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Pour into baked pie crust and sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve chilled. Makes one 9" pie.
