Strawberry Apple Pie

- thinly sliced peeled granny smith apples (about 3 med.)
- 1 1/4
- sliced fresh strawberries
- 1 Tbsp
- lemon juice
- 1/2 c
- 3-4 Tbsp
- 1/2 tsp
- 1/8 tsp
- whipped topping optional
PASTRY FOR A DOUBLE 9' PIE
1Combine apples & strawberries,drizzle with lemon juice.
Combine sugar & flour & sprinkle over fruit and toss lightly.
2line a 9" pie plate with bottom crust.
Roll out remaining pastry and fit to top of pie.
Trim seal & flute edges.Cut slits in top..
Combine sugar and cinnamon;sprinkle over pastry.
Cover edges loosely with foil.
Bake in a preheated oven 450 degrees 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350;remove foil.Bake 35-40 minutes more or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly...Cool on a wire rack....Garnish with whipped topping if desired.
