Wendy's Notes:
I've never really been a fan of apple pie and I really wanted to like one, I don't know why :) but anyway, one of my daycare parents told me that their husband made the best apple pie...so of course I said, bring me the recipe...AND of course I switched a few things up, can't ever leave anything as is...But this is it and I hope you enjoy it!
Sea Sun submitted the beautiful photo! The recipe don't say to, but she added a top crust! Which is gorgeous! Goes to show how recipes can be beautifully altered! :o) Thank You Sea Sun!!!

Directions
Mix together sugar, flour and salt in a small bowl, set aside.
Mix together sour cream, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla and egg in a large bowl.
Blend flour mixture into sour cream mixture.
Add Apples to sour cream mixture and pour into pie shell.
Bake at 375 for 45 minutes.
Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle over pie. Bake another 15 minutes.
And Enjoy!!!

Also, with my "help" we kinda did things out of order, which is why we have a top crust. ;-) I am going to post the picture of our pie, but you can delete it (or I will) if you like since it's not really a description of your recipe. LOL! The filling IS though as it tasted just like the first time we made it (minus the topping).
I thought you'd get a kick out of it! Feel free to delete it. I'm not sure if the picture will go to default and if so, you won't want it up. LOL!
Gotta love cooking with kids!
