~ Simple Apple Crumb Pie ~ With Or Without Caramel
Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla or cinnamon ice cream. Yum!
- 5 - 6 c
- peeled, cored and sliced tart apples - i always use granny smith
- 1 Tbsp
- lemon - juiced
- 1/4 c
- each - granulated sugar and packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp
- 1 - 9
- inch unbaked pie crust - i used store bought today
- 5 Tbsp
- butter, melted
- 3/4 c
- 1/2 c
- of cinnamon
In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and flour. Toss to coat apples evenly.
Bake for 20 minutes, then reduce temperature to 325 degree and bake an additional 25 - 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
Note: I used a crust shield for the first 30 minutes.
