I just remembered you beat the egg whites about 3 min frothy but not stiff. then fold in all the rest of the ingredients.

I had a recipe which had all the same ingredients but was poured into a well greased pie plate without the pie shell. Then topped it with cool whip and served. My father-in-law requested this pie every time he came for dinner or the holidays. Unfortunately, I lost the recipe after I moved and can't find it anywhere. Think it would work?

I don't know if it would turn out as good. You can try it and let me know. I would really like to know. This is a very delicious pie.

Is there any reason you couldn't just use 4 whole eggs instead of 7 egg whites? This looks so good!
