Ingredients For russian apple pie

  • 4 lg
    granny smith apples, peeled
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3 lg
    eggs

How To Make russian apple pie

    Remove core from the apples; cut in 2-inch chunks.

    Line an 8-1/2-inch spring form pan with parchment paper. Lay the apple chunks on top of paper.

    Let eggs warm to room temperature and then, in a medium bowl, beat until light yellow and foamy. Add sugar, small portions at a time.

    Let sugar dissolve; add flour. Mix till you see air bubbles. Pour the mixture on the apples. Let the mixture soak into the apples--do not mix.

    Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 55 minutes.

    Remove from oven and flip pan upside down onto a plate. Apples will be on top. May sprinkle with powdered sugar or serve with ice cream.
