I found this recipe about 10 years ago and don't remember where. But I think its the best pumpkin pie I've ever had.

Ingredients

PUMPKIN PIE:

1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp
flour
1 1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
ginger
1 can(s)
(15 oz.) pumpkin
1 can(s)
(12 oz.) evaporated milk
2
large eggs, beaten to blend
10-inch pie pastry for a single-crust pie

WALNUT STREUSEL:

1/3 c
flour
1/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp
minced crystallized ginger
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
nutmeg
2 Tbsp
(1/4 stick) chilled unsalted butter, cut into cubes
1/3 c
walnuts, coarsely chopped

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and ginger. Add pumpkin, milk, and eggs; whisk until well blended. Pour mixture into unbaked 10-inch pie pastry in pan. Sprinkle walnut streusel evenly over filling. Bake on the bottom rack until a knife inserted in center comes out clean, 60 to 65 minutes. Set on a rack until cool to touch, about 2 hours. Cut into wedges. Serve with whipped cream.

For streusel:
Mix flour, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg in medium bowl. Add butter; rub in with fingertips until coarse meal forms. Stir in nuts.
