Ingredients For pizza pasta pie

  • 6 oz
    spaghetti or angel hair pasta
  • 1 x lg
    egg
  • 6 Tbsp
    parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 c
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    marinara sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 c
    ricotta cheese
  • 1 - 2 c
    mozzarella cheese
  • pepperoni slices

How To Make pizza pasta pie

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray a 9" pie pan with cooking spray. Cook pasta according to directions on package, drain, rinse & shake well to remove excess water. Place in large bowl; toss with egg & 1/4 C parmesan cheese. Press pasta on bottom & up side of pan; set aside.

    Coat medium non stick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium high heat. Add beef, mushrooms & onions; cook 5 - 7 minutes or until beef is browned. Add marinara sauce & oregano, stir to combine; cook 3 - 4 minutes. Give ricotta a stir & spoon onto spaghetti crust, spreading evenly. Spoon meat sauce on ricotta layer. Sprinkle with mozzarella & remaining parmesan cheese. Top with pepperoni slices.

    Bake 30 minutes or until heated through. Remove from oven; let stand 10 minutes before cutting into 6 wedges to serve.
