We have a pear tree so a friend gave me her recipe & I've been making it ever since.

Ingredients

partially baked crust

FILLING:

5 anjou pears (or tart apples or other pears)
2 t. unbleached, white flour
1/8 tsp, salt
1 cup nonfat yogurt or sour cream
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract

TOPPING:

3 t. sugar
3 t. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. margarine

Step-By-Step

1PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 °.
2PEEL PEARS & CUT INTO BITE SIZE PIECES. SET AIDE.
IN LARGE BOWL, COMBINE REMAINING FILLING INGREDIENTS & FOLD INTO PEARS.
3POUR PEAR MIXTURE INTO PIE CRUST & BAKE AT 400° FOR 15 MINUTES.
4LOWER HEAT TO 350 DEGREES & CONTINUE BAKING FOR 25 MINUTES MORE.
5MIX TOGETHER TOPPING INGREDIENTS.
6REMOVE PIE FROM OVEN & SPRINKLE TOPPING OVER FILLING.
RAISE HEAT TO 375° & BAKE UNTIL TOPPING IS BROWN.
