in a bowl put cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1/4 tsp salt and mix until thick and creamy then set aside.
in another bowl add 3 eggs, the karo syrup, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, and blend well.
spread the cream cheese mixture into pie crust and spread the pecans over the top.
pour the karo syrup mixture over the top of the pecans, and bake 30-40 minutes at 375.
