Peach Jello Pie

Tasted this dish at a recent covered dish affair and was unable to find it's owner. So, searched internet until I found this recipe which is mighty close to the wonderful pie that I had.

Ingredients

1
9 inch frozen pie crust
2 c
sugar
2 c
water
5 Tbsp
cornstarch
1 pkg
peach jello
1 tsp
vanilla
2 Tbsp
butter
1 pkg
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 c
powdered sugar
1 c
cool whip
6-7 fresh peaches, sliced

Step-By-Step

1Bake pie crust according to directions, set aside.
2Bring to a boil the water, sugar and corn starch until it thickens. Add the jello, vanilla and butter. Mix and let cool.
3Mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and cool whip. Smooth into the bottom of the pie crust, then line with the peaches and pour the jello mixture on top. Chill and serve.
