Ingredients For my mom's pie crust

  • 2 c
    pillsbury best all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    crisco in can
  • 5 Tbsp
    cold water

How To Make my mom's pie crust

    Combine salt, flour and Crisco solid shortening use a pastry cutter to mix
  • 2
    Add cold water and stir. Easy to work the dough but remember not to handle too much or crust will be tough, not flaky.

    divide into 3 equal portions, roll out, and put in pie pan DO NOT POKE CRUST
  • 4
    Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. If filled pie bake according to recipe. For example an apple pie uses 2 crusts. Bake for 15 min at 425 and reduce heat to 350 and bake for 30 min
