I've tried allot of pie crust recipes and so far this one is the best! We love it for fruit pies or for soft pies either one is good.

Ingredients For my best ever pie crust recipe

  • 3/4 c
    butter flavored crisco shortening
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1/4 c
    boiling water
  • 2 c
    flour

How To Make my best ever pie crust recipe

    Mix all ingredients in this order, be sure that the shortening is melted , it works better , the boiling water usually melts it fine. Mix all ingredients , let stand about 15 mins . you can prepare the filling if you want. Roll your pie crust on waxed paper one on top and bottom so the dough won't stick , now lift the wax paper off the top and place it in the pie dish , cut edges off and flute the crust edges .this makes a beautiful crust .With out the flour mess , you may even press it in with your hands . Very nice and soft dough to work with . Bake until light golden brown about 15 -20 min 350 degrees . Now if your going to make a soft pie you let the pie shell cool , prepare a instant pudding mix as directed on the box "Chocolate is our favorite , pour pudding in cold baked pie shell , add pudding top with cool whip topping and add a piece of a chocolate bar on top the whip topping. Yummy! Should make 2 pie shells or 1 fruit pie top and bottom!
