Ingredients For meringue for top of pie

  • 3
    egg whites
  • 6 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • tsp
    watkins vanilla

How To Make meringue for top of pie

    Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and vanilla on high until foamy and fluffy....add sugar slowly 1 tablespoon at a time, scraping the sides of the bowl to make sure it all gets dessolved. Put meringue on pie and bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15minutes or until golden brown. Make sure the meringe is all the way to the crust and sealed before cooking otherwise it will shrink.
