This is a lower sugar version of a classic Apple Pie. It is best served either chilled or slightly warm so it won’t be runny. A scoop of Cinnamon Ice Cream makes the perfect a-la-mode.

Ingredients

2 Tbsp
butter, cold & cut in peices
1 Tbsp
cinnamon
2 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1/2 c
brown sugar
2 Tbsp
lemon juice
8 - 10
apples, peeled & sliced
2
refrigerated pie crusts

Step-By-Step

1Preheat the oven to 350°. Next prepare the pie plate by spraying with Bakers Pam, or grease & flour. Place the bottom pie crust in the plate and fit it well to the sides.

2Peel, cut, & core the apples. In a large mixing bowl combine the apples, lemon juice, sugar, & cinnamon. Mix well to coat all apple slices.

3Pour the apple mixture into the pie plate. Dot the filling with the butter pieces & place the top crust on the pie. Crimp the edges to seal well. Cut steam holes in the top crust.

4Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until apples are soft and the crust is golden brown.
