We love fresh peaches from our trees. We freeze them and I make pies and cobblers w/them. When we freeze, we add some sugar and fruit fresh so don't have to add but you will want to add some see not below. I wanted a combo pie/crisp, so I came up w/this combo and we LOVE it, hope you do too. Just add vanilla ice cream LOL

peaches should be sliced into bite sized pieces. Add as much sugar as you like to make peaches sweet but tart( approx. l cup). Put peaches, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg into a medium sauce pan. Add corn starch and heat till slightly thickened then add the 1 T. of butter.
3
Put hot peach mixture into your pie crust

for Topping: combine ingredients by cutting stick of butter into the other 3 ingredients with a pastry cutter until crumbly. Crumble over the top of peaches. Add a few nuts on top if you like them.
5
Bake 45-60 min in a 350 oven or till topping is browned and peaches are bubbly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

PS we freeze our fresh peaches w/a cup of sugar and some fruit fresh so I don't have to use extra sugar when making the dessert, so you can add as much sugar to the peaches as you like to make sweet or tart tasting
