Jack's Chocolate Pecan Pie

My husbands favorite sweets are dark chocolate and pecan pie. His favorite drink is Jack Daniel's whiskey.

This is what I make for him and only him for our holiday celebrations or just because. He does share it with me LOL!!

It is soooo darn yummy!

Ingredients

pie crust shell, deep dish ( i use frozen)
4 large
eggs or 3 extra large eggs
1 c
packed dark brown sugar
1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
dark corn syrup
1/4 c
whiskey
2 Tbsp
butter, melted
1/2 tsp
salt
2 c
pecan halves, divided
1 c
bittersweet chocolate chips, divided ( i use ghiradelli )

Directions Step-By-Step

In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugars, syrup, whiskey, butter, and salt until blended. Stir in 1 1/2 cup pecan halves and 3/4 cup chocolate chips. Pour filling into crust; sprinkle with remaining pecans and chocolate chips. Bake at 325 dF for 50-60 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is puffed. Cool completely on a wire rack.
