GRANNY SCHAFFER'S PECAN PIE

TRACY JOYNER

By

This pie is not like your traditional pecan pie. It has a creamy, almost caramel like filling. Cut small pieces..it's very rich and indulgent.

I've never found this pie offered anywhere except at "Granny Schaffers" restaurant in Webb City Missouri.

I have looked and looked and looked for a recipe for it with absolute NO luck whatsoever. Our "old folks" don't even know about it except that it has been offered at Schaffers for as long as they can remember.

After Mrs. Schaffer passed away, they published the recipe in a cookbook of her recipes..and I'm now pleased to share it here.
