Grandma Virginia's Pumpkin Pie

This is my grandmother's recipe. She was Italian, but she could still make a mean Pumpkin Pie.

Ingredients

2/3 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
cinnamon, ground
dash(es)
ground ginger
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
3 Tbsp
molasses
3 c
mashed, cooked pumpkin or pumpkin puree
4
eggs, beaten
2 c
light cream or milk
2
9 inch pastry shells, unbaked

Step-By-Step

1Mix all ingredients together. Divide between the two unbaked pastry shells.
2Bake in 450 degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 50 minutes or longer until set. Makes two pies.
