Grandma Minnies perfect apple pie
This pie is the best. To save time and clean-up, I use Pilsberry pie crusts.

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 7 to 8 cups thinly sliced apples
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- pastry for double-crust pie ( 9 in )
- 1 egg white
- additional sugar
set aside. In a large bowl, toss apples with lemom juice, add sugar mixture; toss well to coat. Line a 9 in pie pan with half the pastry, place apple filling into crust, dot with butter. Top with remaining pastry; flute edges and cut slits on top.Beat egg whites until foamy; brush over pastry. Sprinkle sugar on top. bake at 375 for 35 minuntes
increase temperature to 400 nd bake 10 to 15 minutes moe or until golden brown.
just subtitute 1/2 cup granulated Splenda and 1/2 cup granulated brown Splenda. You can't tell the difference
