I love a nice frozen pie in the summer. I decided to come up with the chocolate cherry version of the frozen yogurt pie. We all love it in my family. I have to say it came out awesome! This is a great pie to end a holiday cookout etc. I hope you all enjoy this version of the frozen yogurt pie! Enjoy!

Ingredients For frozen chocolate cherry yogurt pie by noreen

  • SKIP HOMEMADE CRUST AND USE A STORE BOUGHT CHOCOLATE CRUST LIKE KEEBLER IF DESIRED
  • 9
    whole graham crackers crumbed
  • 1/4 c
    unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/3 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips ( i used dark)
  • 1 1/4 c
    chopped fresh sweet cherries pitted
  • I LIKE OIKOS, DANNON OR YOPLAITYOGURT

    (20 ounces). ( 5) 4 ounce containers black chery yogurt
  • 8 oz
    any style cool whip
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    unflavored gelatin
  • 2 Tbsp
    cold water
  • parchment paper for crust

How To Make frozen chocolate cherry yogurt pie by noreen

    Place graham crackers in a food processor and Crumb. Pour into a bowl. mix in cocoa and sugar. Melt butter in microwave and pour into crumb mixture. Stir to combine well with hands. Press into buttered parchment paper lined pan 9 inch pie pan. Place in oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven to cool.

    Mix 1 1/2 teaspoons of unflavored gelatin with 2 tablespoons of cold water and set aside.

    In a sauce pan over medium heat combine 8 ounces of black cherry yogurt. Mix until hot.

    Pour into a bowl and stir in the gelatin mixture. Combine really well.

    In another bowl. Mix remaining 12 ounces yogurt with 8 ounces cool whip. Blend well. Stir mixture in to yogurt Gelatin mixture until blended well.

    Stir in 1 cup of sweet cherries and 3/4 of the chocolate chips. Pour mixture into pie crust that you made.

    Garnish top with remaining cherries and chocolate chips. Place in freezer until frozen.

    Let sit out for a while until tou can cut it. before cutting. Garnish with chocolate chips, chopped cherries, whipped cream and chocolate Syrup if desired.
