Add dry strawberry jello. Stir until well mixed. Let cool.
In cooled, baked pie shell, arrange fresh stemmed strawberries, points, up in spiral fashion. Pour cooled sugar mixture over making sure each strawberry is coated. It will not be deep enough for all to be covered. Chill until set and serve with whipped topping. You can also think peaches with peach jello etc. Let your imagination roll. This can also be made with sugarfree jello but it must have the 1/2 cup sugar to start. Your family will enjoy this fresh dessert.
