This easy cream pie could be eaten as a pudding, but then again who wants to give up the crust. This a pie my former mother in law made many many times over the years. It's definitely one of my favorites. This basic recipe can be changed up to make a varity of pies; Banana Cream Pie, Chocolate Pie, Coconut Pie, Pineapple Pie, Butterscotch.. etc. Check out my Black Bottom Banana Cream Pie (in photo) using this cream pie filling recipe. http://www.justapinch.com/recipes/dessert/dessert-pie/black-bottom-banana-cream-pie.html
