Dark Chocolate Cream Pie

Every time I make this pie people always ask for the recipe. This pie made with the Special Dark Cocoa gives it a full bodied deep chocolate taste. It can be made with regular cocoa for those who want more of a milk chocolate taste. You may top it with whipped cream, Cool Whip or meringue.

Ingredients

3
egg yolks, beaten
4 Tbsp
cornstarch
1/2 tsp
salt
2 Tbsp
butter
1 1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
hershey's special dark cocoa
3 c
milk
1 1/2 tsp
vanilla

Step-By-Step

1Mix egg and sugar together in a heavy saucepan.
2Add cornstarch, cocoa salt.
3Add milk and cook over medium heat while stirring constantly until mixture boils.
4Stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into a 9" pie shell that has been baked.
