Cranberry Goodin' Puddin' - Grams Way

This delicious pie recipe was given to me by my dear Grandma...Although there are similar recipes out there. This recipe is the only one for me. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I picked up where Gram left off, and make this every wouldn't be the same without !....:)

You are guaranteed to love the melt in your mouth crust on this, so good...

This pie travels nicely also!!

2 c
fresh cranberries
1/2 c
chopped, walnuts
1 1/2 c
sugar - divided
1 1/2 stick
( 3/4 cup ) butter, melted
1 c
1 tsp
vanilla extract
whipped cream ( optional )


1Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Grease a 9 inch deep dish pie plate.

2Wash the cranberries, leaving some water on them. Combine the cranberries with the walnuts in the pie plate. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the sugar.

3In a mixing bowl, cream the remaining 1 cup sugar with the eggs and butter

4Stir in the vanilla extract. Add the flour and mix well. The batter will be on the thicker side.

5Spread over the cranberries.

6Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a tester inserted near the center of the crust comes out clean.

7Let cool slightly before serving warm, or serve completely cooled, with a dollop of whipped cream on each slice.

This pie is delish!!!! I love it while its still warm...:)
