Cranberry Apple Crisp

|4 large||green apples,peeled,cored and sliced 1/2 " thick|
|1 c||canned cranberries,whole|
|3/4 c||brown sugar|
|1/2 c||all purpose flour|
|1/2 c||quick cooking oats|
|3/4 tsp||cinnamon, ground|
|1/3 c||butter, softened|
Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
Lightly coat an 10-inch-round deep dish baking stone with butter. Add apples and cranberries to the deep dish baker. Combine the sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and softened butter in a bowl. Sprinkle over the fruit and bake until golden brown--about 40 minutes.
Serve hot with ice cream or cold with whipped cream.
