My grandson and grandaughter says: "This pie is mighty tasty, and so yummy for our tummies". ********* This chocolate pie filling can be used as a pudding, as well. ********* Use as much or as little sugar to your taste. Either way, it's still oh so good!

Ingredients For chocolate pies

  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    self rising flour
  • 2 tsp
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 1/2 stick
    butter, room temperature
  • 3 lg
    egg yolks
  • 2
    pie shells
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3 lg
    egg whites

How To Make chocolate pies

  • 1
    Cook two pie crusts (as directed on package) until golden brown, set aside.

    Mix ingredients together in sauce pan. Continue to stir and cook over med. high heat until thick. Pour mixture into the two cooked pie shells. Top with Meringue, place in oven and brown the meringue until golden brown. Enjoy!

    For Meringue: Beat three egg whites until they have stiff peaks. Add one half teaspoon of vanilla flavor and sugar to taste. Beat until smooth with stiff peaks.
