Ingredients

1 1/2 c
sugar
1(51/3oz) can(s)
evaporateed milk
1/2 c
melted butter

eggs
31/2 Tbsp
cocoa powder
1 Tbsp
vanilla

unbaked pie crust 9-inch

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix first 6 ingredients in mixing bowl;beat 1 minute.

Pour into pie crust.

Bake in preheated 350 degrees oven for 1 hour.

Love this pie. Always comes out delicious. Make sure the eggs and canned milk are room temperature. If you can make your crust from scratch it holds up better than a store bought one.

I would not freeze it. I have never tried, but the texture is like a custard, and when it defrosts I would think it would leach some liquid. If you do try it I too would like to hear the results.

I have not tried to freeze it but I see no reason it would not work well. Post your results for all of us!
