9" unbaked deep dish pastry shell
In a small saucepan, combine the caramels, water and butter. Cook and stir over low heat until caramels are melted. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a small mixing bowl, beat together eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt until smooth. Stir in pecans and caramel mixture.
Pour into pastry shell - if desired, arrange pecan halves on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes. Let cool and set before slicing.
