This is one of my creations. Whether you're a coffee lover or just love creamy desserts, you will find this to be a tasty treat! The Kahlua flavor is subtle and pairs well with caramel. Enjoy!

Mix milk, half and half, sugar, and egg yolks in a saucepan.
  • 2
Sift together cornstarch, cocoa, espresso powder and salt. Add to milk mixture and mix well.
  • 3
Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 2-3 minutes, continuing to stir until mixture is thick and smooth.
  • 4
Remove from heat and stir in extacts, Kahlua, and butter. Pour into pie shell. (You may use graham cracker crust or your favorite pre-baked single pie crust...whatever you like).

Whipped cream: Blend heavy cream and powdered sugar together in a mixing bowl until it starts to thicken. Add extracts and then slowly add pudding mix. Beat until you have stiff peaks. (Use a whisk attachment if you have one and start with a cold bowl/utensils and cream for the best results).

Pipe or spoon whipped cream onto pie and drizzle with caramel (if desired).
