Bernice's Story

My husband loves anything butterscotch. This is one recipe that he really loves and requests.

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter, melted
1 c
plain flour
1 c
chopped nuts (i use pecans)
8 oz
cream cheese ,softened
1 c
powdered sugar
1 large
container cool whip, divided
2 small
boxes of butterscotch instant pudding mix
3 c
milk

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix butter, flour, & nuts til crumbly & press into buttered 13"x9" baking dish. Bake around 25 minutes @ 350 degrees. Keep a check on it. & cool.

Mix cream cheese & 1 cup of powdered sugar. FOLD in 1 cup of the cool whip & pour over crust.

Mix puddings and milk and spread over cheese mixture. Cover with the remaining cool whip & CHILL.

You can also use chocolate pudding.

Yep I sure do enter them hon. I just never win...LOL I did win my first blue ribbon though finally after being here a year so that's good. I can totally see why you won and congrats on that! I entered it to so YOU'RE the reason I didn't win huh? LOL I was so happy to do your chocolate pudding recipe. I've made it 3 more times since then. I'm going to make the scutterbotch one too. I mean it should have a picture too, right?! ;o)

Annette, I don't know if you ever post any recipes in the contests or not. I just won a really nice crock-pot from the pork inspired contest. I want to take a picture of it & post it when I can get some batteries. I never dreamed I could win. It is worth the time of posting in these contest. I added you as a favorite cook when I first joined JAP. I have been following your recipes & the news & photos of your grandson. I still appreciate you sharing a picture of my Oreo cookie dessert.
