Ingredients

1
9" pie crust
1 c
light corn syrup
3/4 c
packed light brown sugar
4 Tbsp
(1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
3 large
eggs
2 Tbsp
bourbon (or 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract)
1/2 tsp
grated orange zest
1/2 tsp
salt
2 c
pecan halves

Step-By-Step

1In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, sugar, butter, eggs, bourbon, orange zest, and salt. Mix in the pecans.
2Pour the pecan mixture into the pie crust. Set an oven rack on the lowest position and heat oven to 350 degrees. Place the pie plate on a foil-lined baking sheet.
3Bake until the center is set, about 50 to 55 minutes. Let cool completely to room temperature before serving. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
4This pie can be made up to one day in advance and stored, loosely covered with plastic wrap, at room temperature.
