Just a little something I whipped up on the spur of the moment. I was thinking of the 2 things I liked together and this is what I came up with. Hope you like it as much as my friends and neighbors at the church potluck!

Ingredients

APPLE PART:

6 large
mcintosh apples ,peeled,cut in 1/2 inch pieces(4 cups)
2 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 to 1/2 tsp
nutmeg
3 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed

LEMON LAYER:

1/4 c
lemon juice, fresh
2 large
egg yolks
14 oz
sweetened condensed milk

TOPPING:

6 Tbsp
all purpose flour
2 Tbsp
granulated sugar
1 dash(es)
salt
2 Tbsp
butter, cold

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 425^.
Apple Part:
In a large bowl combine the apples, cinnamon,nutmeg, flour and brown sugar. Stir to coat all pieces. Pour into buttered 9x13-inch baking dish.
Bake in oven for 10 minutes.
Turn oven down to 350^ and bake for 40 minutes,covered lightly with foil. Remove from oven and remove foil also,pour lemon layer over all evenly and bake for 15 minutes, until it becomes firm but do not brown it. Sprinkle on topping and bake for 10 minutes more.After pie is done baking, place in refrigerator till cool.
Serve with whipped cream .

Lemon Layer:
In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks and lemon juice. Mix on medium speed until well blended.
Pour over hot apples evenly. Bake for 15 minutes until lemon part is firm.Do not brown lemon part. After the pie is done baking, sprinkle on topping and let bake for 10 minutes more. Remove from oven let cool and place in the fridge to become cold.

Topping:
Combine flour, sugar and salt, cut in butter and sprinkle on top. Bake for 10 minutes more.
