let a frozen pie crust defrost while you make the topping and the filling.

Streusel topping: mix ingredients with a fork or pastry cutter until combined and crumbly.

Pie filling: peel core and slice the apples, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and toss.

Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg to combine.

Do not defrost berries if you are using frozen, toss berries into sliced apples.

Add Flour mixture and toss by hand until apples and berries are completely coated.

Mound the apple berry mixture into your unbaked pie crust.

Press the streusel over the top of the pie gently, making sure to cover most of fruit and packing it in gently.

Bake on a cookie sheet or sheet pan at 350 degrees for 45-55 mins.

Let cool and come to room temperature before cutting or serving.
