Stuffed Cinnamon Apples

I recently got this recipe out of the paper. This is a different twist on cinnamon apples and so very tasty and easy to make!!!

Ingredients

1/2 c
red cinnamon candies
2 c
water
6 small
tart apples, peeled and cored
3 oz
pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 Tbsp
milk
1 tsp
lemon juice
1/3 c
chopped, pitted dates
3/4 c
crushed pineapple, drained
2 Tbsp
chopped pecans

Directions Step-By-Step

In 3 qt. saucepan, cook cinnamon candies in over over medium heat until dissolved. Add apples and cook uncovered over medium heat until tender; about 15 - 20 minutes. Turn once during cooking. Remove apples and refrigerate them with syrup several hours, turning once.

Blend together cream cheese, milk, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy. Add dates, pineapple, and pecans. Drain apples and stuff centers with cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate apples several hours before serving. DELISH!!
