Drain the pineapple (don't squeeze excess juice out). Thaw cool whip. Mix pineapple, cool whip, cherry pie filling and nuts together. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.

I think this would make a wonderful topping for a plain white cake or perhaps an angel food cake. Must try and will let you know. Sounds very good.

My mom made this for Thanksgiving every year and she called it the same thing, Pink Stuff.
