This flan recipe is from a co-worker I used to work with who's grandmother married a spanaird and this is his mother's, Isabel, recipe. I bring this to parties and never have any left over! Always a hit, I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as my family and friends!

Ingredients For isabel's flan

  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1
    egg yolk
  • 1 can
    evaporated milk
  • 1 can
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make isabel's flan

  • 1
    Place sugar in pan and heat. Stir until sugar is melted. Pour into a 1 quart casserole.

    Beat eggs and yolk together. Add evaporated milk and beat mixture with wire whisk. Then add condensed milk while whisking.

    Add the vanilla, mix, then pour into the casserole. Place the casserole dish into a pan that has hot water.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
